TASK 11 - Beam Intensity Calculations

A reliable procedure will be provided for calculating beam intensities in different scenarios of the planned EURISOL facility using adequate nuclear-reaction and transport codes, which are validated and improved using data from innovative experimental approaches.

Benchmark calculations on residue production using MCNPX 2.5.0. Calculations were compared to mass-distribution data for 5 different elements measured at ISOLDE, and to specific activities of 28 radionuclides in different places along the thick target measured in Dubna.
